Dallas, Texas – Shippers Warehouse, Inc. has spun off its various transportation departments to form a wholly-owned subsidiary to be called Grocery Direct Consolidated Transportation, Inc.

Grocery Direct Consolidated Transportation, Inc. will provide LTL, Truckload, Intermodal Drayage, Local Delivery, and LTL Consolidation services to the 300+ customers currently served by Shippers Warehouse, Inc. The merging of these various existing departments within the Shippers Warehouse, Inc. network will streamline operations, simplify freight billing and auditing, and consolidate management in an entity that will be strategically structured to better serve the transportation needs of Shippers Warehouse, Inc. customers.

Shippers Warehouse, Inc. is a Texas based provider of supply chain services (3rd party logistics or 3PL). Operating over 4.5 million square feet in 8 facilities in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and 500,000 square feet in Atlanta, Georgia, Shippers Warehouse, Inc. was recently named a “Top 70 Food Logistics 3PL” by Inbound Logistics magazine and was named as the 93rd largest privately held business (based upon gross revenues) in the Dallas area by The Dallas Business Journal.
